Ryan Correy is one of Canada’s most respected adventure cyclists. His passion on two wheels began at the age of 13, when he and his father embarked on a series of cross-country tours around North America.
In between planning his next adventure, Ryan regularly speaks to groups about endurance cycling, is the founder of bikepack.ca, and a regular contributor to various outdoor publications.
Key Cycling Achievements:
2 x Tour Divide Finisher, Arizona Trail, Pan American Highway, Race Across America, 24 Hour MTB Champion
Next Bikepacking Challenge:
Ryan is looking forward to a busy calendar of bikepacking and public speaking, whilst also finishing a guidebook called ‘Bikepacking in the Canadian Rockies’.
Advice for New Bikepackers:
“Try not to get too sucked into forums on ‘How to bikepack’, because there’s really not one way of going about it. The only way to really learn is to just get out there. Take on an overnighter, somewhere near where you live, and build from there.”
Other Passions / Important Causes:
Ryan is the founder of Bikepack Canada which is his all-encompassing passion project at the moment. Helping curate the online content and organize the annual Canada Bikepack Summit, whilst fielding questions from their growing community.
