Job description
Apidura is looking for a motivated, resourceful, and well-rounded Graphic Designer and Artworker to join its London (UK) team. This wide-ranging role will cover the production and management of multiple visual assets including the production photography, iconography, product design elements, elements of web design, among more. As part of a small team working with two other part-time designers as well as Apidura’s marketing, communications, and product teams this is a chance to influence Apidura’s visual brand presentation across a huge range of contexts.
Responsibilities
The core responsibilities of the position will include:
- The ideation, production, and improvement of various graphic elements for web, print and product applications.
- Working alongside the marketing and comms teams to create striking visuals assets that communicate effectively.
- Working alongside the B2B and ecomm teams to create visual assets that guide our customers in a digital environment.
- The management and organisation of graphic assets of various formats within Apidura’s digital system.
An input and influence on overall brand and product visual direction. - A key contribution towards the production and direction of studio-based and product-focused imagery.
Skills and Experience
- 3+ Years’ experience as a graphic designer.
- A design related education to degree or equivalent level.
- Being flexible, resourceful, and comfortable working across multiple mediums and formats. This is a wide-ranging role in a small brand that could involve anything from a website icon, retouching an image or a designing a 6-metre-wide map for a race.
- A high degree of personal organisation; Apidura’s roles are all entrepreneurial, self-starting and offer a high degree of autonomy, the ability to manage your time, clearly communicate priorities and timelines is key.
- A willingness to work with a mix of colleagues from non-design or creative backgrounds, understand their needs and requirements and communicate aesthetic concepts and direction to them.
Additional requirements
An ideal candidate would have a background in photography with an interest to work in this field alongside their other responsibilities. Apidura’s in-house photo capability is changing and the are opportunities to get involved at all levels from planning, production through to shooting and re-touching.
A interest in or a connection to cycling or the outdoors would be a bonus.
An interest in sustainable business and working practices would be beneficial.
Candidate must be authorized to work in the UK.
Based in: London
Remuneration: Depending on experience
Working Practice: We feel the ideal working practice would be a full-time employee, followed by a part-time employee. In both instances we are happy for an element of remote work. A freelancer who can provide a minimum of 3 consistent days a week may be considered. Agencies or other businesses should not apply.
