Der Junge Muss Von Der Strasse (“get the boy off the streets”) is a short film about ex performance cyclist and Apidura Ambassador Marc Maurer, exploring why he ditched his road bike for a gravel bike in order to do epic bikepacking adventures all around the world.

Marc Maurer grew up in the southern part of Germany and now lives in Cologne, where he moved to study geography and Asian science. A former performance road cyclist, Marc has turned into a full-on two-wheel adventurer, cycling from his hometown to Istanbul and bikepacking all around the world, with a particular love of the Indo-Chinese region.
In this video, Marc explores abandoning the performance side of cycling in favour of exploration and enjoyment.
