Jonathan Kambskard-Bennett's bikepacking kit list for The South Downs Overnighter;
Jonathan is an experienced round-the-world cyclist, based in London, who loves creating and sharing routes with the local bikepacking community. The South Downs Overnighter is a 100-mile mixed surface ride along abandoned railway paths, through dense woodland and over chalky double track. Connecting well-established long-distance trails through Surrey, West Sussex and Hampshire, it’s designed to be an accessible introduction to the network of bridleways that crisscross the region. While the ride is accessible, Jonathan chooses to travel well-loaded with camping equipment, preparing for a mixture of weather and slowing down to enjoy nature as he goes.
